There is a space for security and one for privacy

Security protects against intentional damage such as theft and assault, while privacy protects those who are not involved. No one would want to be casually photographed next to a suspicious vehicle and be misunderstood as an accomplice.

To avoid this, our cameras offer a special feature: thanks to object recognition, only the vehicle with the detected number plate remains visible, while pedestrians, bicycles and other vehicles are selectively blurred. This maintains the integrity of the scene, while protecting people’s privacy.

Our dual sensor cameras apply this blurring to both the OCR image and the context image. It is also possible to blur the subject on motorbikes or mopeds, leaving the licence plate and vehicle visible. So it is one thing to claim to have the blurring function, and another to do it well and only on what we really want to protect.
